A delegation of KVPSS members under the leadership of BJP,MP, Dr. Udit Raj met the HRD Minister Mrs. Smriti Irani on Saturday and discussed various demands of the teachers. Mr. P.V.Chhikara,General Secretary,KVPSS, told the correspondent that he placed the long pending demands like conversion from CPF Scheme to GPF cum Pension Scheme, grant of CGHS facility to KVS staff and implementation of MACP Scheme for the teaching staff.She gave a patient hearing to the delegates and assured them to look into the matter seriously. She promised that she will take up the issue regarding grant of CGHS facility to KVS staff with the Health Minister,Mr. J. P. Nadda.Mr. Chhikara pointed out that inspite of the recommendations of the sixth CPC, the KVS Teachers are deprived of the MACP sheme where as the non-teaching and officers of KVS are enjoying this benefit. It is an injustice with the teachers. Teachers being the pillars of KVS,they have the first right to get benefit.Teachers of MCD and Delhi Government are already availing the benefit of MACP Scheme. KVS teachers have long since being demanding the facility of conversion from CPF to GPF cum pension scheme but unfortunately no one in the Ministry has been kind enough to pay any attention towards these justified demands.This benefit will secure the future of the teachers.Mr Chhikara demanded a transparent and justified transfer policy.The present transfer policy is frequently modified to serve the interest of a few favoured ones.
